Please accept or decline your student place in the Application Portal. It is essential that you respond even if you do not wish to accept the student place. Remember to respond before the deadline that occurs in your admission letter. If you do not respond within this time frame, the student place will be offered to someone else. 

If you are a guest or exchange student, please keep in mind that when you receive your admission letter, you have 14 days to accept your student place. If you do not respond within this time frame, the student place will be offered to someone else. 

At AAU, your AAUcard is more than a student ID. The card works as an access card to university buildings in Aalborg, Esbjerg and Copenhagen - also outside of regular opening hours. The card is also your library card to Aalborg University Library (AUB), and it can give you discounts on purchases in different stores in Denmark.

When you have been admitted to AAU, you can find your AAU email address as well as its password in UniStart.  From now on, all communication from AAU to you will be sent to your AAU mail. It is important that you login to your AAU mail regularly to check your inbox, as you can receive essential information about your study programme.

Your AAU mail is auto-generated, and cannot be altered, and you can login to your AAUmail at mail.aau.dk. You can login to your AAU mail ten weeks before the beginning of the semester.

Moodle is a ”Learning management system” that most study programmes at AAU use to communicate with their students. If Moodle is used by your study programme, this is where you will find all your necessary study information such as your calendar, schedules, course descriptions, and course literature. You may also use Moodle to contact your study secretary if you have questions — and your study secretary can contact you.

You can access Moodle from August 15th and January 15th.

Get ready for Uni is an e-learning course in Moodle that can help you get a good start at AAU. 

• The course helps you become aware of what Aalborg University (AAU) expects from you as a new student
• You become aware of what it means to be a good student and to make a profit in student life
• You get an overview of the start of your studies and knowledge of where you can get help and find important information

All students at AAU can complete and benefit from the course. Find the course in your study proramme's Moodle room. You can access it from August 15th. If you cannot find the course in your study programme's Moodle room, feel free to access the student guidance's version down below.

If you are a foreign citizen, you must fulfil specific conditions in order to be granted equal status with Danish citizens and receive State Educational Grant (SU).
